The world is full of commercialism this time of year, and one event seems to lead straight into the other. Halloween. Thanksgiving. Black Friday. Cyber Monday. But STOP! There’s something new on the horizon that’s dedicated to giving to others! Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving to those in need. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
It’s a simple idea really. Just find a way for your family, church, company or organization to come together to give something more. Then, tell everyone you know how you are giving and encourage them to give. Join Interfaith on December 1st and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.
At Interfaith, Giving Tuesday will be a day of celebrating our volunteers, appreciating our current donors, and welcoming new supporters. There are so many ways to give! Each of us has time, talent, or treasure that God has specifically given to us for the care of His people. Let Giving Tuesday be an opportunity to showcase how we, as an Interfaith family, can meet the needs of our brothers and sisters who are struggling.
