It's time for Florida Feast - 2016

This event is Sold Out.

The annual Florida Feast fundraiser is kicking off on October 20th this year, sponsored by the Marion County Roadbuilders Association. The event will be held at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion. Gates will open at 6pm and dinner will be served from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. The menu will be your favorite BBQ items, plus authentic Florida fare including frog legs, venison, gator tail, fried turkey, smoked pork, chicken, and fish, with all the favorite side dishes (corn on the cob, seasoned green beans, BBQ beans) drinks and dessert. During the event there will be live music and a chance to mingle with friends. Don’t miss the wonderful silent auction and raffle items, where great deals will be had by all!

Please note - this event has become so popular that tickets must be purchased in advance and will no longer be available at the gate - so get your tickets now!

As you know, Interfaith meets the critical needs of individuals and families in Marion County. By providing services such as food, clothing, prescription medications and shelter, Interfaith gives hope to the hopeless.
    >> 450 clients a week include senior citizens, veterans, the disabled and our homeless population
    >> Our Food 4 Kids program allows us to partner with 34 elementary schools, feeding over 1,700 children a total of 10,200 meals each weekend.
    >> Our 35 bed Shelter program provides assistance to single women, moms with children and families.

Our 33 years of experience allows Interfaith to meet the needs of over 20,000 people every year. Interfaith operates with a 7% administrate rate, meaning 93% of donations go back into the community for assistance. We are donation based and supported by local individuals, businesses and churches just like you! Your donation will help raise funds to purchase additional food for our food pantry, which is always a critical need in the fall and winter months.

This is the perfect opportunity to relax and visit with friends, while giving to a great cause! Last year we raised over $19,500 thanks to friends like you!  Tickets are $25 per person. Corporate table sponsorships are $500 and include 10 tickets and advertising by Interfaith. For more information call Sonya at 352-629-8868 x33. Pardon our Dust at the Thrift Store

A new and exciting phase is beginning at the Interfaith Thrift Store.  It’s been a year since a vehicle, evading the police, drove through our fence, catching our Warehouse Storage Barn on fire. At the time, we lost thousands of dollars of donations and equipment. Thanks to local architects and designers, we now have a drawing and specs for our new Warehouse Building. Construction bids have been submitted and the Thrift Store Warehouse building will hopefully be rising soon.

The Center for Life - A Dream Come True

For years an un-met need in Marion County has been free medical and dental care for those without insurance or enough income to afford professional care.  This has driven thousands of uninsured, low-income patients to our local emergency rooms for non-emergency medical attention.  Last year alone there were over 4,000 visits to local Emergency Rooms for dental related issues.  Because these are non-paying patients, this has a detrimental impact on medical costs for the community at large.

Center for Life Open House and Community Blessing

Center for LifeWe are excited to invite the community to the Open House and Community Prayer for Interfaith’s Center for Life on August 5, 2016.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be conducted by the CEP (Chamber & Economic Partnership) at 4:45pm.  Interfaith’s Board of Directors and Staff will be on hand to provide tours and information about the new clinic.  At 5:30pm, a Community Prayer will be performed, circling the building, hand in hand, offering up this exciting new ministry in prayer.

Join us as we open our doors to the public for the first time to see our free health clinic which will treat Marion County’s homeless and low income that are uninsured.  The clinic, with the help of volunteer professionals, will offer free medical, dental, vision and mental health treatment – providing health and healing for thousands of people for many years to come.

We hope to see you there.
