Giving Tuesday

red heartThe world is full of commercialism this time of year, and one event seems to lead straight into the other. Halloween. Thanksgiving. Black Friday. Cyber Monday. But STOP! There’s something new on the horizon that’s dedicated to giving to others! Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving to those in need.

Florida Feast a Great Success!

We were so blessed this year by our sponsors and silent auction donors, as well as those that bought tickets to attend.  This year’s event was absolutely amazing with the highest attendance ever with over 1,200 people! We raised over $15,000 at the event between tickets, tables and our silent auction items.  That money is desperately needed right now for our food pantry and will help thousands of clients seeking assistance.

Sunrise Breakfast 2014

Following the tradition of the annual Campfire Breakfast, the Interfaith Sunrise Breakfast will be held at Gator Joe’s this year. Join us on December 18th from 7am - 9am at Gator Joe's. Breakfast served at 700am while we enjoy a “white” Christmas on the beach (Florida style)!

Come out and enjoy a beautiful sunrise as we celebrate God and community. Let’s come together and celebrate the spirit of Christmas and be reminded of what makes this community so special.  What better way than to celebrate our blessings than to share them with the less fortunate through a donation to Interfaith.  If you can’t attend please consider sending your donation to P.O. Box 992, Ocala, Florida, 34478. Or, you can donate online on this page – look for the “donate now” button.  There are still so many people in need.  Every dollar helps.

For more information, contact Sonya Tyler at 352-629-8868 x33 or check our event Facebook page.  Please RSVP. And don’t forget to wear closed-toed shoes since we’re out on the sandy beach (or your flip flops, if you dare!).

Directions to Gator Joe's: 12431 SE 135th Ave, Ocklawaha 32179 (from Ocala take SW 17th Street/Maricamp Rd. for 15  miles; Left on Fl-25; Right on SE 135th Ave); or click: for google map.

Feel free to share our event flyer with friends and neighbors.

As you know, Interfaith meets the critical needs of individuals and families in Marion County. By providing services such as food, clothing, prescription medications and shelter, Interfaith gives hope to the hopeless.

    >> 400 clients a week include senior citizens, veterans, the disabled and our homeless population

    >> Our Food 4 Kids program allows us to partner with 32 elementary schools, feeding over 1,650 children a total of 9,900 meals each weekend.

    >> Our 33 bed Shelter program provides assistance to single women, moms with children and families.

Our 32 years of experience allows Interfaith to meet the needs of over 30,000 people every year. Interfaith operates with a 7% administrate rate, meaning 93% of donations go back into the community for assistance. We are donation based and supported by local individuals, businesses and churches just like you! Your donation will help raise funds to purchase additional food for our food pantry, which is always a critical need in the fall and winter months.

This is the perfect opportunity to relax and visit with friends, while giving to a great cause! Last year we raised over $16,300, thanks to friends like you!  Tickets are $25 per person. Corporate table sponsorships are $500 and include 10 tickets and advertising throughout event. For more information call Sonya at 352-629-8868 x33.
