Ladies High Tea & Festival of Tables
April 17 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
2021 Ladies High Tea
The purpose of our Ladies High Tea is to raise support for the Interfaith Homeless Shelter which serves homeless women, children and families. We also celebrate the strength, passion and the will that make women unique! Our ultimate goal is to inspire women leaders in our community to get involved in the solution to make Marion County a better place to live for all women.
In 2021, our original plans for a outside event at Sholom Park were dashed with rain, but the Ocala Hilton saved the day by allowing us to move inside to their beautiful ballroom. Due to the COVID restrictions, we had ladies attended both the live event and virtually. We had a beautiful morning and the tables were exquisite!
During the tea, two former shelter residents, Ashely and Jessica, spoke of their amazing journeys from homelessness to happiness. We were so grateful for their encouraging stories of transition.
This year’s tea encouraged hostesses to decorate their tables and ask for financial donations for ‘votes’ in order to win the Golden Tea Pot Award. We were so excited for winner Jessica Davis, also our speaker, to take the prize for her R.U. themed table. Jessica raised $2,350 for her table. We were honored to have such beautiful ladies in attendance at the tea event and thank our gracious Hostesses that set such wonderful tables to entertain friends. The event raised a total of $16,000 for Interfaith’s shelter.
